passion led us here

Today we had guest speakers from BCEdAccess come and tell us about some of the supports we might see in the classroom and how we can best utilize supports for our students.

Video still is a young white woman with long straight hair squatting in front of two small children in a classroom, sitting with their backs to us.

I found this class interesting and as a former EA it was great to here about how teachers and EAs can work together to get students the support that they need. When I was working as an EA I found that when I worked with teachers who kept me informed and advocated for my inclusion in Professional Development Days I was able to better support the students.

Another interesting take-away was the exclusion tracker. This shows us how often students are being excluded from school. After class I explored the web page further and found that the resource page was very informative and helpful.
